Dr. Bankhead is originally a native of Ohio, having graduated from The Ohio State University in 1989. After graduating, he practiced as an associate dentist for two years in Ohio before moving to New England. His love of New England led him to move to Boston in 1991 where he established his first private dental practice. He opened his second dental office in Bellingham in 1997, which became his sole location a year later.

Dr. Bankhead is not only a highly-trained dental professional experienced in all aspects of dental treatment (thereby rarely requiring patients to be referred out to other offices for any treatment), but also highly sensitive to the fears and concerns of the dentally anxious. As a result of his desire to help these patients, Dr. Bankhead became certified through the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (D.O.C.S.) and offers a variety of comfortable options for dental treatment.

Dr. Bankhead can treat the majority of dental problems, including many problems often performed by "specialists" in the majority of cases because of his extensive training in the following areas:

Endodontics (root canals) and Endodontic Surgery (apicoectomy)

Periodontal Surgery (including pocket elimination, soft tissue grafts and bone grafts)
